MotortrainingUK specialises in training and assessment for drivers wishing to extend their licence, and in helping companies and organisations understand their legal responsibilities. We operate from our privately run DSA approved training and test centre in Hereford. We offer advice, driver training and theory tuition, all tailored to the driver's individual requirements.

Please note, for professional drivers (ie where the majority of your paid work involves driving) you must complete a CPC initial qualification, as well as the relevant licence.

However, before you take to the road with your trailer (or horsebox, or caravan) it is strongly recommend you have some basic training. You are also entitled to drive a car and trailer combination up to 3.5 tonnes providing the weight of the trailer doesn't exceed the unladen weight of the towing vehicle - in practice this limits you to a pretty small trailer.

It weighs no more than 3.5 Tonnes (or 4.25 Tonnes with specialist equipment for disabled passengers). For schools, care homes and other occasional minibus drivers, we recommend staff are re-assessed every 12 months. Our three day training course will give you the experience and skills you need to confidently and safely transport your passengers.

We work with your organisation to structure training, assessment and educational courses to suit your needs. Organisations need to demonstrate working health and safety procedures in line with all Health and Safety legislation to protect themselves from prosecution; Health and Safety Law applies to work-related driving activities, just as it does to time in the office or on the factory floor.
