GM Driving is an easy to contact, well established and friendly driving school based in Southampton, close to both Southampton and Solent Universities as well as all the sixth form colleges. We only provide automatic instruction and welcome first time or nervous drivers. You are an individual and your lessons will be pitched at your own level of ability, whilst at the same time being structured in accordance with the DVSA's requirements to cover all aspects of driver training.As a result of providing structured lessons with set training objectives for each lesson, we have an excellent pass rate giving you the best chance of passing your driving test at the first attempt.

We will provide Free tuition to prepare you for this part of your test as part of your structured driving course. We use visual aids to help you learn quickly. All instruction is given in accordance with DVSA guidelines. We will provide free mock theory test papers as part of your structured driving course, these will include specimens of the questions you can expect to find during your theory test. We offer calm and professional one to one instruction. Young, mature and special needs students are all catered for.

Thank goodness for Glyn! When I met Glyn, I almost knew that he would just be another driving instructor and I'd probably just quit, as I was, a complete nervous wreck behind the wheel. How wrong was I? So, thank goodness for Glyn. He was so supportive and confident in my driving from day one and that comes down to the huge amount of experience he has to offer.
He was calm, he kept me calm! (I applaud him for that). Gyln will teach you to drive at such a high standard that by time test day arrives, the only thing that may fail you, are last minute nerves. I can't recommend GM Driving enough, you will get an excellent, light hearted but very professional teacher, who WILL commit himself to helping you pass your test at such a high level, that you won't be visiting that test centre over and over again! He will always be on time, well organised and he will have the ability to teach you no matter what your needs are. Money wise - it was the best money I've ever spent!

I chose Glyn after he was recommended to me by my cousins. He was friendly, calm, confident and thorough, and took time to clearly explain the principles of an exercise before we started. I moved away from the area for a couple of years during the course of my lessons, however contacted Glyn again when I returned and was able to pick up exactly where we'd left off thanks to the detailed records he'd kept.
By the time of both the theory and the practical tests I was confident I could take on anything they asked me, and passed both first time with only 4 minors. I'd happily recommend Glyn to anyone looking to learn to drive.

I don't write many reviews but I had to do one for Glynn, he was quite simply outstanding! I was soooooo nervous and he made me feel totally relaxed and at home with driving. I honestly can not recommend him enough. If he can help me pass he can help anyone do it. He is so calm and relaxed and it really helped me to learn more quickly and thoroughly.
I tried a few different instructors over the years (I was in my mid 30s when finally properly learning to drive!) but none that I ever felt really comfortable with or felt that they really wanted to help me pass, until I booked in with GM Driving that is! The service really is second to none and he really is an outstanding driving instructor. Don't think about it any longer, just contact him and book in. Honestly if I could give him more than 5 stars I would!

I couldn't have asked for a better driving instructor. Glyn was recommend to me by someone from work. I passed everything first time and he was a really good teacher. He had patience even when I didn't have it with myself. He's passionate and thoroughly enjoys his job and you can see that which puts you at ease because you know he know what he's talking about. I'd highly recommend Glyn to anyone I know who is learning to drive because I've learnt at a high standard and feel very safe to be on the roads.
