I would highly recommend Marco as a driving instructor. He is so professional, very patient and helpful. The lessons were fun, enjoyable and stress free. I progressed loads and learnt something new each lesson. I really appreciate Marco's help. Marco Polo Driving school is asset for Oxford's community. You will not just pass Your exam, but also You will be able to learn how to stay safe and confident on the road. Thank you! Would definitely recommend!
Marco is such a great instructor, calm and patient and commited to being the best teacher possible! I was quite nervous when I first started but he was so easy to get on with and great at explaining things I soon became comfortable and more confident with each lesson! Couldn't be any more full of praise, will always be grateful to Marco for doing such a great job at teaching me how to drive and making it so much fun!
Having failed to achieve a pass many years ago after many lessons with a different instructor, I finally returned to attempt once more a month ago. From the off Marco built my confidence, which had been knocked by my previous fails. He was methodical and professional in his approach, but more than this he was fun and a pleasure to drive with. He not only achieved what I believed to be the impossible (getting me to pass with NO minors) but also really made me enjoy driving. And if the result doesn't speak enough for it self I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who wishes not only to pass their test but wants to feel a confident and safe driver after doing so.
I took my Pass Plus Course with Marco Polo. Not only did the course give me more confidence on the road, it also lowered my insurance premium. Marco is such a patient and calm person, he made the course fun. He gave me some great tips that I had never heard before.
I was so glad I chose Marco Polo!!
After a bad experience with a driving instructor some years ago, I was very hesitant in choosing an instructor. However, I'm glad I discovered Marco. He was extremely patient and allowed the lessons to proceed at a pace I was comfortable with. He was very attentive identifying weaknesses to focus on in the next lesson and very focused on teaching how to drive well and safely, but at the same time making the lessons enjoyable.
Marco... What an amazing instructor. He helped me gain confidence in driving, seeing the car as enjoyment rather than fear. I found every lesson supportive and educational right up to the very end. I manged to pass very quickly thanks to his dedication, and knowledge. I would truly recommend his service.
The thought of even learning to drive terrified me but Marco quickly put me at ease and enabled me to pass my test first time and feel comfortable, confident and safe behind a wheel! I have since driven some friends to the Peak District so thank you Marco for providing me with the ability to do that!
Marco is an excellent teacher, I don't think I could have passed without him. I was quite nervous and he kept me calm and relaxed and makes sure you are confident and driving safely. I struggled with roundabouts and hill starts and we practiced until I felt comfortable. Both myself and my sister have passed with him and would recommend highly
Marco was the best driving instructor I could have hoped for. He knows the roads, he knows the test, he knows the rules, and he knows how to teach effectively without putting pressure on you as you drive. In my case, I had experience driving in another country; he was fully understanding of the nuances of my particular needs -- and in the end, I feel I am a MUCH better driver because of the lessons. For me, it ended up not just being about passing the test (which I did), but about learning how to keep my family safe by having good road habits and understanding how to anticipate the moves of other drivers. Marco is kind, clear, completely responsible, and extremely accommodating about the timing of lessons. He never cancelled and always confirmed by text the day before. I couldn't recommend him more enthusiastically.
Marco is an exceptional driving instructor. Within a short period he took me from an inexperienced driver with plenty of bad habits to passing my test comfortably. However, he not only teaches you pass, but to drive safely and to read what is happening on the road - skills that will matter far more than a piece of paper! I would highly recommend him.
Marco's approach as a driving instructor isn't to just churn out students at a fast rate, but to make sure you can not only pass your test, but to also drive safely and confidently afterwards. He is very calm and patient instructor and will explain and show you things till you understand. He is very flexible with times and has always tried his best to fit me in when I had time. I really cant recommend anyone better than Marco.
Marco was a great driving instructor - highly recommend him! I already had an American license and Marco was great at providing the appropriate lessons for me,namely learning to drive manual and navigating UK roads. The lessons really built up my knowledge and confidence and fitting in lessons was easy - as he did a door to door pick up and drop off .
Marco was an excellent driving instructor. He is well-organised and communications to arrange lessons were always clear and easy. The pace of learning was good and Marco teaches a fluent driving style from the start. I passed first time with a completely clean sheet!

The driving test will include an eyesight check that requires you to read a number plate that is a certain distance away. After the eyesight test you will be asked two vehicle safety check questions (known as Show Me, Tell Me). These are basic safety checks that you should carry out to ensure the your car is safe drive. Some checks may involve you opening the bonnet to identify where fluid levels would be checked. You will not be asked to touch a hot engine or physically check fluid levels. You will then be examined on your general driving, independent driving about 5 to 10min and on one reversing exercises which could be either reversing around a corner, turning in the road bay parking or reverse parking none as parallel parking.
Before you can get behind the wheel you'll need a provisional driving license. You will need a D1 form from your local post office in order to apply. Pass Plus is a practical driving course and take 6 hours in total. Usually we'll arrange your Pass Plus course over 2 days with 3 hours per day. Your instructor will complete a Training Report Form which you'll sign and date when you reach the required level in each module. In order to pass the course, you'll need to reach a satisfactory standard in all the modules. You will be given a Progress Record to enable you to keep a record of your progress throughout the course. Once you've completed the course your instructor will send your completed Training Report Form to DSA who will then issue a Pass Plus Certificate of Completion to show that you've successfully completed the course.

Anxiety can manifest itself in different ways from feeling butterflies in your stomach, sweaty palmed, all the way through to a full blown panic attack.
