So glad I got passed today. Al, my instructor, is very well experienced. He had several ways to explain until I fully understood. He taught me lots of techniques and safety. I haven’t just passed the test but become a confident driver. Highly recommended Instructor ‘Al’.

Was taught by Gareth this year to learn to drive, and can honestly say it was the best experience, after a rocky start he persevered with me and I’ve finally passed !! Definitely don’t regret coming to him as I feel he has really taught me a lot and I have overcome my fears when driving !!

After a couple of weeks looking around at different instructors/driving schools I decided to go with License2Drive and I'm so glad i did. Robs teaching style and relaxed lessons really helped me improve quickly and achieve what felt impossible just a few months ago, passing my driving test with 0 minors!! I couldn't recommend these guys enough.

Customer Testimonials

Definitely recommend learning to drive with License2drive! Rob was a fantastic instructor; very organised with timing plus always makes the driving lessons a fun and calm experience while ensuring you are at the top of your game and fully aware of the do's and dont's of driving.
Massive thank you to Rob, I will miss our singing/humming along to rock music...

Had a few intensive lessons with another company but never clicked with the instructor. Gareth was awesome though, pushed me when I needed it and made things that were difficult before so easy to understand. Just gotta remember not to let my brain get in the way.

I thoroughly enjoyed my driving experience with Licence2Drive. Every lesson was perfectly planned and executed, with a lovely instructor who was well informed, trained and disciplined. Thanks to Jackie, my instructor, I managed to pass first time with only two minors, feeling confident with my driving ability. You’d do well to find better instructors in the Norwich area, with such competitive prices too.

Gareth taught my daughter to drive at 17. He has been great, flexible and helpful. She passed today 1st time as well. Thanks Gareth, I will recommend you to anyone.

I had Rob as my tutor. Wonderful experience - felt like I was being taught by my big brother! friendly and relaxed but knows when to put his foot down and tell you you've done wrong. Thank you for my first time pass

I had a really good experience of learning to drive with Al. I came to driving very late at 45 with virtually no previous driving experience. Al was patient and clear with his instruction and has guided me through from no knowledge or skill at all to passing yesterday with only three minor faults.

Would definitely recommend.

I learnt to drive with Jackie, and I couldn’t fault anything! She is a patient and friendly instructor, who helped me build my confidence at driving and pass first time. I would 100% recommend Licence2Drive!

Licence2Drive are a fantastic company to go for when learning to drive. The instructors at Licensce2Drive are incredibly patient, hardworking and really care about your needs as a learner. I would strongly recommend Licence2Drive as a company to learn to drive with!

From Our Website

No matter how well your practical lessons are going, you have to pass your theory test before you can apply for your Practical Driving Test. The stuff you need to know to pass your theory test is important. It'll help you to become a better, safer driver, so it's worth taking the time to prepare properly. Put some work in now and you can pass first time and save yourself the time and cost of retaking it. If you've got any questions about your theory test, ask one of us - we're here to help! When you book your lessons with us, you'll get free access to Theory Test Pro, saving you the cost of paying out for other revision materials.

Once you've passed your Theory Test, and you've reached a good level in your practical lessons, it's time to book your practical test! During the independent driving part of the test, most candidates will be asked to follow directions from a sat nav. You can't follow directions from your own sat nav during the test - you have to use the one supplied by the examiner. You'll be able to ask the examiner for confirmation of where you're going if you're not sure. It won't matter if you go the wrong way unless you make a fault while doing it.

At Licence2Drive we are aware that for whatever reason learning to drive in a manual car is not for everybody. It might be that you have tried learning in a manual and didn't get on with it. Maybe you're nervous or have a disability which makes controlling the car more difficult. Learning in an automatic means that you don't have to worry about the gears or the clutch. This means no biting point, no biting point means no rolling back and no stalling! Automatic driving lessons are certainly easier, no changing up and down.

We're not the cheapest, but we're not the most expensive either! We don't claim to be able to get you passed more quickly than your friends (how can we know until we see how quickly you pick things up?). What we do promise is that every lesson you have will be tailored to you. You will be taught by relaxed, friendly instructors in a modern (less than 3 years old) tuition car. You will learn how to drive, not just how to pass a test, this ensures that you'll learn safe driving for life. Payment for the whole 10 hours is required either at the time of booking or at the start of your first lesson.

Most people should be able to apply online, otherwise you can get an application form (D1) from the post office. If you're eager to get started you can apply for your provisional licence up to three months before your 17th birthday! In addition to your provisional licence you'll need to make sure that your eyesight is up to scratch. In order to drive you'll need to be able to read a number plate in good light from 20 metres.

It really depends on the individual and a whole host of factors. Be assured that we'll help you progress as quickly as possible and we'll encourage you to take your practical test as soon as we think you're ready. An average learner takes around 47 hours of professional lessons and 20 hours of private practice.
