Automatic Driving Lessons
Learn with Mike electric automatic driving lessons will be delivered at our highest standards. We will ensure you gain the knowledge and experience to pass the automatic driving test and then be able to drive yourself safely anywhere in the UK and beyond.
Pros of automatic transmission
Hop into an automatic car and the first thing you’ll notice is that it’s a lot easier to drive. Without the need to press the clutch or find the right gear, stalling becomes a thing of the past. Driving in slow-moving or stop-start traffic is made easier with an automatic. There’s also a much smoother transition between gears, resulting in a more pleasant, judder-free ride.
Pros of Electric Cars
Electric cars offer an improved driving experience to the traditional automatic cars. There is no delay between pressing the accelerator pedal and the electric car increasing in speed. You do not have to wait for the car to change gears for you and you do not have to listen to a noisy engine whilst driving. Electric cars use only one third of the energy of the petrol or diesel engine.
From Our Website
Mike is the first driving instructor in the UK to offer automatic driving lessons in the fully electric Mini Cooper SE. This is now my third consecutive Mini for providing driving lessons. In making the Mini electric, the car has lost none of its Mini characteristics. It drives like a petrol Mini, only better. Learning to drive automatic in my electric Mini gives you the advantage of knowing how good electric cars really are as well as being prepared for the current selection of traditional automatics.

We were the first to go electric with our Renault Zoe early in 2019, now in 2020 we are the first to use the Mini Electric for driving lessons. We charge our Mini Electric from 100% renewable energy, thanks to Octopus Energy. When learning to drive in our fully electric car, you will be preparing to take the automatic driving test and will be ready to drive any automatic, hybrid or fully electric car. Manual gearboxes are going to disappear, in some models of car they already have! Learn to drive in our fully electric car and you are helping to make our air cleaner.
Looking for a driving instructor but don't know where to start? Want to book your first driving lesson but have no idea what to ask? We share 5 of the most important questions you should ask before booking your first driving lesson. How long have you be teaching people to drive? It isn't a rude question to ask. It's a great way of opening up the conversation and showing the driving instructor that you are a well informed potential student. EVERY driving instructor wants a student like that! You may prefer to be taught by someone relatively new because you feel they'll be more fresh in their approach, or you may prefer someone with huge amounts of experience.
