LDC is Burton-On-Trent's largest driving school established in 1988. We teach over a 1000 pupils a year to pass their driving tests, CBTs, Direct access motorcycle tests and B+E trailer tests from our fantastic large safe training areas available 7 days a week situated in Burton-On-Trent at the Pirelli Stadium, Hardman Centre, Stoke on Trent and Uttoxeter Racecourse. L.D.C driving school has been providing driving lessons, C.B.T and direct access motorbike training along with instructor training for 28 years in the Staffordshire, Derbyshire & Midlands area, covering Burton, Lichfield, Derby, Tamworth, Ashby, Swadlincote, Sudbury, Uttoxetter, Stoke & Overseal.
Compulsory Basic Trainng at our training centre at the Pirelli Stadium in Stretton (Burton Albion's football ground). Before you can ride a motorcycle on the road you must complete a course of Compulsory Basic Training (C.B.T.). This consists of both Theory and Practical training on a closed site and culminates in a road ride, where your instructor will give further training in road skills and carry out an assessment of your ability. The courses are run with a maximum of 2 students per instructor.
LDC Driving School gives you quality driving lessons at affordable prices. Our professional, friendly, reliable driving instructors have years of experience in helping you pass your test whilst also boosting your confidence with driving. All L.D.C Driving Lessons feature at least 1 hour of one to one training. You can be picked up from home, work or school. We have a wealth of knowledge of all the local test routes used by the DSA and will not only teach you how to pass your test, but how to become a safe driver for life.
When you join L.D.C. you are assured that you will receive the best possible training and preparation for all three parts of you're Driving Instructors A.D.I. Course. We will do more then train you for the tests, we will endeavor to ensure that you are a competent A.D.I. once all the tests are passed. You will be made aware of all the commercial aspects of the job and how to deal with your pupils on a day to day basis to maximize your teaching and minimize your financial losses with time management.
Joanne has been working at LDC as office manager since of the beginning of 2012, she will be happy to talk to you regarding any aspects of LDC Including training, workshop and sales. She will be happy to help you with all aspects of LDC including training, workshop and sales. Les is the owner of LDC and has been an Instructor since 1981. He trains all the Instructors that work for the company, and has helped many more get through check tests and their part 1, 2, 3 qualifying exams. Janet is a joint partner in LDC and is now mainly office based.
Cancellations 48 hours notice must be given to cancel any driving lessons booked or you will lose your lesson fee. Theory courses and Motorcycle courses must be paid for in advance and are not refundable. Insurance if you wish to hire any L.D.C. Motorcycle, the third party training insurance is included in the bike hire or course fee. In the event of any damage to the motorcycle a 500 excess charge or the cost of repair if lower will be made against the pupil. This charge will become due on the day of damage.

If you passed your driving test after the 1st January 1997 you will need to pass a trailer towing test to get the E category on your licence. This allows you to tow caravans or trailers over 750kg, or a maximum loaded weight of under 3500kg combined loaded weight for the car and trailer. The loaded weight for the car can be found on the vehicles log book and the loaded weight for the trailer or caravan will be plated on the 'A' frame or trailer itself. Without your towing licence you would be restricted to a smaller trailer of up to 750kg.
