If you're looking for driving lessons in Guildford, or indeed anywhere in Surrey, then take a look at GSI School of Motoring. It's a small, friendly, family-run driving school in Woking, but covering the surrounding areas of Surrey. It was set up by David Gubbins in 1999, and now has four driving instructors, including David himself. The others are Andy Gubbins, Tamara Lee and Pat Sparrowhawk, the newest member of the team. All four instructors are approved by the Driving Standards Agency, and have a relaxed and friendly approach to teaching you to drive.

Whatever your driving experience so far, our courses are all one to one in-car tuition. They cover every aspect of driving, to enable you to pass the practical test and become a safe, confidentdriver. We arrange everything for you - convenient pick up, theory test, practical test. We use dual controlled cars and all instructors are DSA registered and certified. 80 % of our pupils are from recommendations from previous pupils and the pass rate for this type of course is over 80%. Intensive driving courses are the fastest way to learn to drive.

Just wanted to again say thank you so so so much! I'm still in such an emotional shock and I wouldn't of been able to do it without you and your consistent mirror checks! It means so so much to me how much you helped me and guided me, you're so great at what you do and you shouldn't ever give it up because your techniques and reassuring comments are so warming! I felt so confident and it was all down to you and your patience! I wish you nothing but eternal happiness, you've helped change my life honestly, you're such a beautiful person and I am truly grateful!

Hereat GSI, we want our new drivers to be as comfortable as possible with the cars they are learning in. We find that these are excellent vehicles for any type of driver, beginner or not, and at GSI all our pupils do appreciate a nice new car! All cars are fully air conditioned and are very spacious on the inside, whilst still being small and easy to manoeuvre. For example, the 208 1.6 Diesel engine, whilst still being very modest on power, provides our pupils with confidence, enabling them to maintain excellent control over the vehicle.

Don't worry if you make a mistake - it might be a less serious driving fault and might not affect your result, however, ifat any time your examiner considers your driving to be a danger to other road users they will stop your test. The theory test is made up of a multiple-choice part and a hazard perception part. Pass marks are 43 out of 50 for the multiple-choice, and the 44 out of 75for the hazard perception. You need to pass both parts to pass the theory test. Find out what happens during both parts of the theory test and how the scoring works.
