From Our Website

The 'Show Me Tell Me' questions require you to explain to your driving test examiner where and how to check tyres, brakes, fluid levels, lights, direction indicators, head restraint, operation of windscreen washers, window demisters, fog lights, power steering, window operation and horn. The Tell Me question will be asked at the test centre before you go for your drive and the Show Me question will be asked on the move whilst on your test. You will be asked two questions, one 'show me' and one 'tell me' question.

A refresher course will suit you if you would like to brush up on your driving skills and make you a safer more responsive driver in todays ever changing busier roads. Or perhaps you have been asked to provide an assessment for a new employer and are worried about how you would do. Maybe you passed your driving test several years ago and have never driven since, this course will build your confidence enough for you to want to tackle the roads on your own again. You may have passed your driving test outside of the UK and would like to get some experience on UK roads before driving by yourself.

We have an off road area at Waltham Airfield near Grimsby. The area is the old World War 2 runway giving us plenty of space to teach the required skills of learning to drive. We are in easy reach of Grimsby, Louth, Scunthorpe, Lincoln and Hull and have had many eager young drivers over the years come to us from these areas as we are at most just over an hour away. All cars are fully insured for off road tuition and allow us to start teaching from the age of 14. This part of our school is now owned and run by one of our instructors Andy Bird who will usually be the instructor to conduct the lessons.

Beginners offer is available to new pupils wishing to join us that are complete beginners or who have had some experience but have had no more than 7 hours tuition with another driving school/instructor. Special offers must be paid for on the first lesson and is only for on road lessons and not for our off road under 17's facility. Assessment offer is available to new pupils wishing to join us that have had over 7 hours tuition. We will give you help and support where needed but the aim of this assessment is for you to show us what you know so that we can pick up from where you left off.

This type of driving course is the most advertised and most popular. You simply pay for your lessons by the hourly rate as and when you have them. We also offer 90 minute lessons (which is our most popular lesson time) as well as 2 hour lessons. We recommend the 90 minute lesson as it just the right amount of time behind the wheel before you start to get a little 'brain fade'. These type of lessons are usually taken once or twice a week and generally take the longest period to reach driving test standard.

Pass Plus is a scheme for new and inexperienced drivers backed by the Government's Driving &Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and certain insurance companies. Please check with your insurance company if they are part of the Pass Plus scheme before booking your course. However it is still worth doing the course even if you don't qualify for a discount. Your life cannot have a price! It has been proven that within the first 2 years of passing a driving test you are more likely to have an accident then any other time in your driving career.

We will do our utmost to secure the date that you have supplied on the booking form, however on some occasions this is not always possible to achieve. If you are booking a birthday lesson please try to give us as much notice as possible.

We cover the following areas for your tuition, however if your area is not listed below please give us a call to see if we can accommodate you.
