Finding the right instructor is vital. Your lesson time needs to have structure so that effective learning takes place but it also needs to be an enjoyable and fun time. I know this only too well from my personal experience of learning to fly at the age of 42! It's not a 5 minute process and the relationship you develop over the weeks and months with an instructor can be of valuable contribution to your learning and confidence.

Choose from semi intense courses or weekly lessons to achieve your goal of learning to drive and becoming a safe and responsible driver.

Hop into an automatic car and the first thing you'll notice is that it's a lot easier to drive. Without the need to press the clutch or find the right gear, stalling becomes a thing of the past. Driving in slow-moving or stop-start traffic is made easier with an automatic. There's also a much smoother transition between gears, resulting in a more pleasant, judder-free ride. Because there's less chance of accidentally grinding the gears, the transmission itself is less likely to fail. An automatic car makes it easier to focus more on speed and road position - and you can keep both hands on the wheel as you won't have to change gear.

My experience with Di-Drive was fantastic and I could never summarise how grateful I am. The skills I learnt are invaluable. Not only does the professional tuition prepare you thoroughly for your test, but it also develops you as a driver. Di installs you with confidence and really helps you overcome any weak areas you may have. I still remember the diagrams, handouts and clear explanations I received whilst taking my lessons and how useful the different methods of teaching were. Di just a big thank you for getting me through my test with a pass at the end.

In the current economic climate it's very tempting to go with the absolute cheapest option. However remember there's a difference between cheap and "value for money". There's a lot of very good professional driving instructors out there but there are also ones who show little real commitment to their students and even less in terms of good quality teaching skills and knowledge. The process may take you twice as long! Your learning and progress will be increased if you can have 1 and a half hour lessons.
