I did my ADI Part 3 training with Steve. I cannot fault him at all. At times I found the training difficult but with Steve’s teaching I got there in the end.
He is a fantastic instructor and so friendly. Without Steve I would have given up a long time ago but we got there eventually and I’m now a qualified driving instructor.
Thanks Steve it’s all because of you

From Our Website

We are able to offer Driver Training using BSL (British Sign Language) to people who are deaf or hard of hearing. We are able to offer driving lessons at all levels using BSL British Sign Language. Approved Driving Instructors interested in developing their careers by taking part in an introductory course in British Sign Language / Deaf Awareness, should contact Steve Swinton on 01204 650056 for further information.

Most people learn to drive by taking one or two single lessons per week. Although this suits the majority of people, some prefer to learn over a shorter period of time for a variety of reasons. This condenses the learning process and providing the learner driver is content with the pace of learning, can help to minimise the total number of lessons taken overall. Learning to drive over a shorter period does not suit everyone and you may be assured that honest advice will be given right from your first enquiry through to the end of the course.

This purpose of this page is to assist members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community who wish to learn how to drive or improve their driving to find a Driving Instructor who teaches using BSL, or at the very least is 'Deaf Aware' and understand the needs of Deaf and Hearing impaired people. If you are a Driving Instructor or Driving School proprietor and wish to be added to this directory. Please drop us a line and we will be more than happy to post your contact details with a link to your web-site if you have one.

Many parents study primary and secondary schools in great depth hoping to find the very best place for their child to learn. They go to great lengths to ensure their child gets into the right school. They have been known to move house, change jobs, even to emigrate to ensure their child gets the best education possible. The fact is not all schools are the same! The same fact applies to driving schools and driving instructors. Castle Hill School of Motoring has been in business for over 37 years and we are very proud of the fact that we have been dedicated maintaining road safety at the highest level for all that time.

We offer Advanced Driver Training for the DIAmond Advanced Driving Test, the DIAmond Special Driving Test and the Cardington Special Test. We also have experience in preparing drivers for the DVSA practical driving assessment leading to acceptance onto the DVSA Driving Examiner Training course at Cardington, Bedford. The DIAmond Advanced Driving Test consists of a 1 hour high progress drive (while keeping within the bounds of safety and the speed limits) covering approx. 30 miles, during which the Examiner will ask the candidate to perform two out of three reversing exercises.
